Q: What Software is the machine compatible with?
LightBurn / LaserGRBL / Swiftray, computer hardware: Windows / macOS / Linux.
Q: Can Swiftray be used on mobile phones or tablet computers?
Swiftray currently supports Windows and macOS, but the team will consider developing apps for mobile phones or tablets in the future!
Q: What file formats does Swiftray support?
JPG/PNG/SVG/DXF/AI/PDF.

Q: What is the maximum engraving speed of Lazervida?
Lazervida can engrave at speeds up to 300 mm/s.
Q: How many sets of laser heads does the machine provide?
Currently, there is only one set of 10w laser heads, and the team expects to launch more sets with higher wattages in the future.
Q: How deep can Lazervida cut?
The results on different materials can vary due to different depths. When there are new materials, to experiment with various combinations of Parameter settings is highly recommended. Sample files can be imported through “Menu > File > Samples > Material Engraving Test.” In addition to engraving combinations, cutting test files are also available.
Q: Does Lazervida need to change the cooling water regularly?
The laser head has a built-in cooling fan, so no additional water cooling system is required.
Q: What is the operating range of the machine?
The machine has a maximum working area of 406 x 406 mm and a working area depth of 30 mm.
Q: The machine has no shell. Is there any protective mechanism?
G Sensor protection: When the machine is heavily dropped or the power cable is unplugged, the machine will automatically stop engraving.
Q: Is there any upgrade kit for the machine?
Currently, you can purchase the stands to lift up the machine, and we will continue to develop new extension kits, such as rotary /air assisting in the future.
Q: What is the laser diameter of the Lazervida?
The laser diameter is 0.08 x 0.08 mm, and the smallest font that can be engraved is 0.5mm (visible).
Q: How long is the service life of the laser head?
Under normal usage, the laser head has a lifespan of 10,000 hours.
Q: How does Lazervida connect?
The machine connects via a USB cable, which is different from wifi connections and will not be limited by the network speed.
Q: What is the wavelength of Lazervida's laser head?
The diode laser wavelength is 445 nm.
Q: Will I need to do the optical path alignment on Lazervida?
Lazervida is different from CO2 lasers, it does not transmit energy through mirrors and has no bulky water cooling systems/laser tubes.
The diode laser head is light and can be directly installed on the axis without adjusting the optical path.
Q: Can Lazervida work continuously for a long time?
As long as the indoor temperature is not too high; it can be operated continuously for a long time.
Q: Lazervida is not equipped with a screen; how can I tell the machine's status?
Lazervida is not equipped with a control panel; the LED signal lights can identify the status of the machine.
Standby: White-breathing light. / During work: The signal light remains on. / Power off: The signal light turns off. / An error occurred: The signal light is blinking.
Q: What is the size and weight of Lazervida?
The size is 582 x 574 x 100 mm, and the weight is 4kg.
Q: Can I take the machine abroad?
Due to the design of the power brick, the power supply can be used whether it is 110v or 220v; you will just need to replace the socket.
Q: Does the machine have a camera module?
Lazervida is not equipped with a camera module, so it performs laser alignment through Swiftray and hardware to achieve accurate engraving results as camera alignment provides.
Q: Can the machine engrave curved surfaces or cylinders?
It is recommended that the engraving material is mainly a horizontal surface, if there is a curved surface, the focal length will be different, and the engraving results will be affected. The team is currently working on the Lazervida Rotary Kit, which is expected to support cylinder engraving (eg juice cups/wine bottles, etc.)
Q: The machine does not have a bottom cover. What material can be placed under it as a base when cutting items?
To avoid damaging the desktop, use thick wood/acrylic or metal materials to place under the machine while operating. However, the laser hitting the plastic will produce poisonous gas, so please avoid using plastic material as a base.
When the image file is relatively complicated, please be careful not to use flammable materials such as wood and acrylic as the base plate, so as to avoid the laser staying on the material for too long and causing flames. It is recommended to use metal as the base or purchase an Air Assist Add-on.
